Start here if you're not sure where to start.

From free groups to resources and consulting, we strengthen natural supports. You don't need funding, a diagnosis letter, or a referral from anyone to sit in on a Tuesday night.

Family Support Group
Tuesdays, 6:30–7:30 pm

One hour, every week. Parents, guardians, and siblings of people living with IDD and mental health. Led by our staff leadership and volunteers who all walk the same paths.

Free. No sign-up. Bring your own question and we'll spend the hour on it.

The questions we get most

How does any of this get paid for?

There's usually more than one way, and most families only hear about one. Help with work and help at home are often funded separately, with separate applications and waits, and you can work on both at once. Private pay is also an option. We'll help you sort out what fits.

What if we're still waiting on funding?

The Tuesday group and our handouts cost nothing and don't require any funding. We'll also tell you plainly where you are in the process, what the realistic wait looks like, and what can start in the meantime.

My child is still in school. Is it too early?

No. Students can start exploring work while still in school through Pre-Employment Transition Services.

Can my adult child actually work?

More often than families are told. The question isn't whether someone can hold a job — it's which job, with what support, and who's still there in month six. That's the part we do.

Connecting with other people who have gone down similar paths has provided a lot of hope, wisdom and encouragement. I love it, and I encourage anyone who is struggling to care for a loved one to give it a try.
